Thought of the Week
Therefore, over the next several weeks I will be focusing this section on ways of thinking. This week's focus is on divergent thinking. The video above is a small portion of a lecture by Sir Ken Robinson, author and educational speaker on creativity. Robinson defines divergent thinking and explains how education often fails to promote the environment in which such thinking can thrive. In the resource section below you will find an article on divergent thinking strategies as well as a Divergent Thinking Challenge. You can adapt the challenge to meet the needs of your learners - the goal is to try something different, to stretch our learners, and empower thinking in ways we may not traditionally promote. I encourage you to take the challenge and share your results. #DoverProud ShoutoutsDover Area High School Joins iTunesU This week we were approved as an iTunesU institution. Hello! The calendar says that Dr. Collins is coming to visit. A needs assessment will be done as well. Is there anything that we need to do to prepare for this visit or needs assessment?!
