Thought of the Weekstudents each and every day. I have said many times that the greatest appreciation a teacher can receive is a simple "thank you." After all, we do not choose our profession for money, fame, or stature - we choose it because we see the value in making a difference in the lives of young people each and every day. For many of us, we are here because of an educator who made a difference in our lives. So this week, I encourage you to thank those who have impacted you. Reach out to a colleague who is there for you every day or pushes you to be better. Reach out to a teacher who is impacting your own child. Reach out to a teacher you had years ago and remind them of the difference they made in your life. Teacher appreciation should not be a week we set aside - it should be an ongoing element of our daily lives. So let's use this recognized week to start a chain of positive outreach, to encourage and recognize others, and to elevate our profession to its highest heights. #DoverProud ShoutoutsDECA Students Reach International Finals Congratulations to Aaron Thomas and Tyler Ness advanced to the International Finalist Round at the DECA Competition last week in Nashville.
